ROTARY INTERNATIONAL NEWS

Whether promoting peace, fighting disease, providing clean water, sanitation and hygiene, saving mothers and children, supporting education, growing local economies, Rotarians throughout the world come together to make lasting change. Further through the six areas of focus, Rotarians build international relationships, improve lives, and create a better world to support our peace efforts and end polio forever.

President's Message
Kenneth Courter
Good Day,

Join us on Thursday and hear from the new members of the Club.  The Classification Talks give you insight into the background and business of new Rotarians.  What did they find appealing about our works and what they hope to contribute locally and internationally.

We have a diverse group of residents that make us a dynamic team in contributing to causes.  Over the past months we have helped a great number of individuals in need.  Everything from donating 10,000 pounds of food to Loudoun Hunger Relief to digging water wells in Ghana.  As valuable citizens we welcome new challenges and need your skills to manage a charitable project.  Car Seat Safety Check was inspired by Sharon Wright and others to meet a need overlooked by the Sheriff’s Department.  The Toy Drive was inspired by the needs of It Takes A Village Baby.

Your work on the Back Pack School supply drives was outstanding.  Each of you pitched in and invited neighbors and friends to help children in the public schools.  The video that Adam produced made the case to work as a team and focus on community needs above oneself.
Yours in Service,

Ken Courter, President

The Four-Way Test

The Four-Way Test is a nonpartisan and nonsectarian ethical guide for Rotarians to use for their personal and professional relationships. The test has been translated into more than 100 languages, and Rotarians recite it at club meetings:

Of the things we think, say or do

  1. Is it the TRUTH?
  2. Is it FAIR to all concerned?
  3. Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
  4. Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?
