President's Message
Kenneth Courter
Good Day,
The Health & Wellness Expo had a few hundred in attendance. Many families with children discovered answers to their illnesses. A poignant moment was a Mom who was seeking help for her daughter’s dental needs. She appreciated the Free Clinic’s offer to help.  This example of neighbors helping neighbors continued throughout the day.
The Y utilized half of the Sterling Community Center with their Healthy Kids Day.  Great that they had food for all.  Wegmans provided water and reusable shopping bags.  The many government agencies showcased the services available to those in need.  Also in attendance were the Lions and Elks to provide hands on care.
A special thanks to the Loudoun County Parks and Recreation for allowing use of their facility.  The Brotherhood of St. Andrews from St David’s guided traffic and helped throughout the day including breaking down the event.
Thanks to those of you who donated blood to Inova. You certainly show a spirit of giving to others.
Don’t forget to bring your food donations to 1757 on Thursday.  We have a special day of thankfulness planned.
See you Thursday.
Yours in Service,
Ken Courter, President

The Four-Way Test

The Four-Way Test is a nonpartisan and nonsectarian ethical guide for Rotarians to use for their personal and professional relationships. The test has been translated into more than 100 languages, and Rotarians recite it at club meetings:

Of the things we think, say or do

  1. Is it the TRUTH?
  2. Is it FAIR to all concerned?
  4. Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?
